Caio Pereira has been named the Indian Hills Men's Soccer Assistant Coach, announced Thursday morning. Pereira joins first-year head coach Felix Vu's staff for the upcoming season.

"We are excited to have Caio join our staff for this upcoming fall," stated Vu. "His perspective and experiences will be incredibly valuable to us in moving the program forward."

Pereira joins the Warrior program after completing his undergraduate degree from the College of Idaho, an NAIA institution in Caldwell, ID. Pereira was a two-year standout for the Coyotes, earning All-Cascade Collegiate Conference honors each season, including first-team honors as a senior. In his final season at Idaho, Pereira was selected as the team captain. Pereira started all 30 contests over the previous two seasons for the Coyotes, totaling 34 points throughout his career.

"Joining the Indian Hills Men's Soccer coaching staff is a once in a lifetime opportunity," stated Pereira. "It's a great program with great student-athletes and I am very pleased to be here."

Prior to his time at Idaho, Pereira spent two seasons at NCAA DII Eastern New Mexico before the program was eliminated due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

A native of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Pereira previously spent two years on the staff of the Caldwell Inferno Soccer Club.

Pereira earned a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from Idaho.
