Ottumwa, IA – The Indian Hills Men's and Women's Cross Country teams checked into the preseason national rankings, announced Wednesday by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The Warrior men, fresh off a historic 2023 campaign that saw a 10th place finish at the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Men's Cross Country Championship, head into the new year ranked No. 8 in the preseason USTFCCCA poll. The Warriors earned 112 points in the preseason ratings.
The Indian Hills women's squad will head into the new year ranked No. 25 in the national poll after receiving 16 points in the ratings.
Both squads are set to kick-off the 2024 campaign Friday night with the Platte River Rumble at Mahoney State Park in Ashland, NE. The women's 5k gets underway at 6:30 PM followed by the men's 6k at 7:15 PM.
