FORD, DE WAAL PACE WARRIORS AT BRADLEY

Peoria, IL – Sophomores Brandon Ford (Perth, Western Australia/Duncraig) and Cayde de Waal (Brakpan, South Africa/Hoërskool Oosterlig) both placed in the top-10 at the Bradley Intercollegiate to lead the Indian Hills Men's Cross Country team to a third-place finish on Friday night.

Ford took home the top individual finish for the Warriors with a sixth-place showing at 25:06.40 while de Waal finished seventh overall at 25:08.00. Competing as one of just two junior college programs at the meet, the sophomore duo were the first non-Bradley individuals to cross the finish line as the Braces swept the top five spots at Detweiller Park.

The Warriors took home a third-place finish for the second consecutive year at the Bradley Intercollegiate as all five individuals scored within the top 31 individuals in the 8k event.

Freshman Bailey Taig (Perth, Western Australia/Quinn's Baptist College) took home a 12th place showing to place for the Warriors with a time of 25:52.60 while Joseph Bosch (Princeville, IL/Princeville) posted a time of 27:44.70. Damien Sprouse (Zachary, LA/Zachary) served as the fourth Warrior to cross the line with a time of 28:13.20 while James House (Imperial, MO/Seckman) capped the team scoring with a time of 30:21.50.

As a team, the Warriors totaled 82 points finish behind second-place Loras College who posted 61 points. Bradley captured the men's team total with 15 points.

The Warriors return to action October 5 at the annual Dan Huston Invitational in Waverly, IA.
