Richmond, VA -- The Indian Hills Men's and Women's Cross Country squads are set for the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Cross Country National Championships on Saturday.

STARTING LINE

Head coach Brent Ewing and the Warriors will head east with a quartet of competitors for this week's national championships. All four competitors will be competing at the national championship for the first time in thier collegiate careers.

• The Warrior men will be represented at the national meet by sophomore Cayde de Waal and Bailey Taig. 
• de Waal heads to Richmond after collecting first-team All-Conference and second-team All-Region honors after posting a personal-best time of 24:24.2 at the region championship.
• Taig most recently set a new PR at the NJCAA Region 11 Championship with a time of 25:32.2 to earn second-team All-Conference honors.
• Tiffani Koonce and Jordyn Beck headline the Warrior women as the duo gears up for the national meet.
• Koonce has led the Warriors in each of the team's five meets this year. The freshman shattered her previous PR at the NJCAA Region 11 Championship with a time of 18:53.8 to earn first-team All-Conference and second-team All-Region honors.
• Beck set a 5k PR at the NJCAA Region 11 Championship to earn honorable mention All-Conference and All-Region honors.

All four of them ran season's best at the region championship two weeks ago so they're bringing significant momentum into this weekend.
