ROSS SHOOTS 99 IN FALL FINALE

Waterloo, IA – Zach Ross (Ottumwa, IA/Ottumwa) fired a career-best 99 to lead the Indian Hills Sports Shooting squad, but the Warriors fell at Hawkeye Community College 483-465 on Saturday. Indian Hills falls to 3-3 in dual meets on the year.

Ross placed second overall on the men's side on Saturday after finishing as the runner-up in the first-place shootoff. The freshman has now posted season-high totals in back-to-back dual meets after firing a 96 at Kirkwood on Oct. 3. The 99 for Ross is the second-highest individual total for a Warrior shooter this year. Ross is now averaging a 93.8 scoring average through six meets this season.

Josh Meyer (Bettendorf, IA/Bettendorf) totaled 94 targets to finish second for the Warriors. Kolton Kopsieker (Ollie, IA/Pekin) placed third with a 93 and Landon Hubble (Knox City, MO/Knox) posted a 90. Cole Van Nest (Ottumwa, IA/Ottumwa) rounded out the scoring with an 89.

Camme Barber (Oskaloosa, IA/Oskaloosa) was the top female finisher for Indian Hills with a 79.

Saturday's meet marked the end of the fall season for the Warriors and will return to action for state and national competition in the spring season.
