IHCC Runs to 9th in Illinois

Rock Island, Illinois -- Running in unseasonably warm conditions the Indian Hills women's cross country team finished 9th out of 17 teams in the Gold Division of the Brissman/Lundeen Invitational on Friday.  The meet, hosted by Augustana College and held at the Saukie Golf Course, was shortened from 3K to three miles with the temperature hovering near 90 degrees at race time.

Indian Hills received another outstanding performance from Maddie Bach, who was 4th overall with a time of 19:52.2.  Bach led the seven IHCC runners who competed with 149 other individuals in their division.

Kaylee Ford was 37th for IHCC, running 22:22.  Ashlyn Elmore was 47th in 22:44.4.  Emelia Keith and Amanda Wakelin were separated by only 12 seconds and one place in the standings:  Keith was 58th and Wakelin 59th with times of 23:13.5 and 23:25.7, respectively.

The Warriors head to Arkansas this Saturday for the Chili Pepper Invite, hosted by the University of Arkansas.
