KOONCE PACES WARRIORS AT PLATTE RIVER RUMBLE

Ashland, NE – Freshman Tiffani Koonce (Prairie City, IA/Prairie City-Monroe) starred for the No. 25 nationally ranked Indian Hills Women's Cross Country squad to pace the Warriors in their season opener at the Platte River Rumble on Friday night.

Koonce led the Warriors to a seventh-place finish as the only junior college program competing at Mahoney State Park. Koonce posted a personal-best 5k time of 20:06.03 to place 54th overall for the Warriors.

Koonce was followed by sophomore Jordyn Beck (Marion, IA/Linn-Mar) who placed 66th overall with a time of 21:25.04. Shmyhia Morris (Memphis, TN/Whitehaven) postred the third-fastest time for the Wariors with a mark of 23:08.00 while Raynisha Narcisse (Lauderdale Lakes, FL/Fort Lauderdale) and Riley Vogel (Festus, MO/Festus) closed out the team scoring for the Warriors with times of 23:54.68 and 25:14.75, respectively.

Indian Hills, ranked No. 25 in the preseason United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) poll, returns to action September 20 at the Bradley Intercollegiate in Peoria, IL.
