GCAA BUSHNELL/GOLFWEEK NJCAA DI MEN'S GOLF COACHES POLL - PRESEASON
Ottumwa, IA – The seven-time National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Men's Golf National Champion Indian Hills Men's Golf squad will open the 2024-25 season ranked No. 4 in the preseason polls, announced Friday morning.
Released by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), the Warriors received 35 points in the Bushnell/Golfweek NJCAA DI Coaches Poll, including one first-place vote to earn a tie with Hutchinson Community College (KS) at No. 4. Odessa College (TX) took the top spot in the preseason rankings followed by Midland College (TX), and New Mexico Junior College.
The Warriors are set to open the fall portion of their schedule September 4-5 in Lincoln, NE with the Blue River Classic at Highlands Golf Course. Head coach Michael Wetrich returns one sophomore from last year's squad that placed eighth at the national championship in Hobbs, NM. Emilio Arellano Lamas (Aguascalientes, Mexico/Instituto Universitario Mexico) will lead seven freshman into the new year.
