Ottumwa -- Nathan Winters, who last year became the first All-American in the history of the IHCC track and field program, signed a National Letter of Intent this week to attend the University of Iowa next year.

Winters is coming off a freshman campaign where he was 5th in the shot put at the NJCAA Indoor National Championship, earning All-American honors.  He followed up that performance with a tremendous outdoor season, which culminated with the Knoxville, Iowa-product finishing second in both the shot put and discus at the NJCAA Outdoor National Championship.  He was also sixth in the shot at the prestigious Drake Relays.
