Warriors Open Indoor Season

2017-18 IHCC Track Team

Pella, Iowa -- There were three first-place finishes as the Indian Hills men's track and field squad began its indoor season at the 2017 Dutch Holiday Preview on Saturday.  The meet was held at Central College's Kuyper Fieldhouse.

Freshman Joshua Raphael got his IHCC career started in impressive fashion, winning the 300 meters in 36.22 and tying for first in the 60 meter dash in 6.92.  Colton Lanman had the other top finish for the Warriors, claiming a tie for first place in the high jump, going 6'6.75".

IHCC's Bernard McCann III set a school record with his 21'7.25" leap in the long jump, which was good for 4th place.

Brieon Randle, Jovan Parks and Jeremy Leath went 2-3-4 in the 400 meters with times of 51.30, 52.28 and 52.81, respectively.

Raykwon McClenny tied with Parks for 6th in the 60 meter dash (7.08) and came in 2nd in the 60 meter hurdles (8.51).

Chris Kubli had a 2nd-place showing in the 800 meters in a time of 2:01.76.

The Warriors got a 2nd-place finish from the 4x400 meter relay unit of Randle, Leath, Damond Anderson and Parks (3:32.60).  Mason Lanhart was 5th in the 60 meters (7.06) and Dave Hundley was 4th in the 300 meters (37.13) for other top performances for Indian Hills.

The next indoor meet for the Warriors will be the Sol Butler Classic at the University of Dubuque on Jan. 13.
