MARSHALL LANDS THIRD NATIONAL HONORS

Ottumwa, IA – Rivaldo Marshall (Kingston, Jamaica/Calabar) added another impressive accolade to his resume as the Indian Hills Men's Track & Field sophomore was named the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Indoor Track & Field National Athlete of the Week.

Marshall has now earned three national athlete of the week awards this year, including two United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) honors to go along with a pair of Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Athlete of the Week honors.

Marshall was a part of two national records at the Hawkeye Invitational on Saturday as the mid-distance standout set the new Indian Hills 600-meter school record with a time of 1:17.94 to place first overall. Marshall also anchored the school-record performance in the men's 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:12.56.

Marshall, the 2022 NJCAA 800-meter outdoor national champion, currently owns six school records between the indoor and outdoor seasons.

Marshall and the Warriors will compete this weekend at the Larry Wieczorek Invitational in Iowa City.
