GILES EARNS THIRD CONSECUTIVE ICCAC HONOR

Ottumwa, IA – For the third consecutive week, freshman Chris Giles (Columbia, MO/Rock Bridge) has been named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Athlete of the Week after another dominant performance for the Indian Hills Men's Track & Field squad.

Giles added another impressive effort on the track at the KT Woodman Classic to land his third straight conference honor. The freshman posted a time of 10.32 in the men's 100-meter dash to place first overall in the field of 92 sprinters, including over 40 junior college participants.

Giles' mark currently ranks sixth in the nation and proved to be the third-fastest 100m time in school history. Giles is now the only athlete in the nation to rank in top six in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) in the 100m, 200m, and 400m sprint events. The freshman is currently undefeated in all outdoor sprint events this season.
