ROBINSON, TAYLOR SWEEP ICCAC HONORS

Ottumwa, IA – The Indian Hills Track and Field programs collected a pair of weekly honors on Tuesday as Adalin Robinson (Riverdale, MD/Eleanor Roosevelt) and Tyrice Taylor (Linstead, Jamaica/Vere Technical) earned Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Athlete of the Week accolades.

The duo put together dominant performances on the track at the Jum Duncan Invitational at Drake Stadium in Des Moines. Robinson earns her third-career conference athlete of the week honor, and second in the last three weeks, while Taylor earns his first-career ICCAC recognition of the year.

Robinson excelled in a pair of events for the Warriors, running to a second-place finish in both the 200-meter and 400-meter dash events. The sophomore ran to a school record mark of 53.88 in the 400m while her time of 24.00 in the 200m ranks second all-time in program history.

Robinson now ranks second in the country in the 400m while her 200m time ranks ninth nationally this year.

On the men's side, Taylor, last year's National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Outdoor Track & Field 800-meter champion, ran to a first-place finish with a time of 1:47.92 in the 800m, winning by more than three seconds. Taylor's time improved on his national-leading mark after running past NCAA Division I competitors at Drake Stadium.

As a program, the Warriors have now captured six outdoor track & field ICCAC Athlete of the Week honors between the men's and women's program this year.

Next up for the Warriors is the John McDonnell Invitational in Fayetteville, AR April 18-19.
