Ottumwa, IA – Following a remarkable performance at the Texas Relays, the Indian Hills Men's Track & Field 4x800-meter relay squad has been named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Athletes of the Week. The relay squad took home first-place honors on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin in one of the premiere outdoor collegiate events of the year.
Behind the quartet of Jaquan Coke (Kingston, Jamaica/Kingston College), Nichalas Power (Riverton City, Jamaica), Kemarrio Bygrave (Kingston, Jamaica/Jamaica College), and Raynier Galvez (Paterson, NJ/Passaic County), the Warriors cruised to a time of 7:22.58 to take the top spot on the podium. The Warriors ran past the likes of Clemson University, BYU, and TCU to post the fourth-fastest time in National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) history.
The Warriors' mark also eclipsed the previous Indian Hills school record by seven seconds to set a new standard.
