Coming off a top-five finish at the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Indoor Track & Field National Championship, the Warriors opened up their outdoor campaign with a strong showing at a series of events over the weekend. Highlighted by a 4x800m relay championship at the Texas Relays and a number of dominant performances from the throws group, the Warriors boast three top-10 event squads.

In the initial national rankings, the Warriors claimed the No. 1 event squad in both the discus throw and the hammer throw events. Teammate Kaden Banks (Onalaska, WI/Holmen) currently ranks No. 3 in the nation in the discus with a mark of 54.29, the second-best mark in school history.

At the Emporia Relays, the Warriors saw nine top-five performances spread out across the shot put, hammer throw, and discus throw events.

The Warriors, who are ranked No. 3 in the USTFCCCA Midwest Regional Rankings, are joined in the top-five in the national poll by No. 1 Iowa Western Community College, New Mexico Junior College, South Plains College (TX), and Pima Community College (AZ).

The Warriors are back in action April 4 at the Midwest Classic in Emporia, KS.
