NO. 13 WARRIORS CLOSE OUT FALL SEASON IN INDIANA

Evansville, IN – The No. 13 ranked Indian Hills Women's Golf squad took home a 10th place finish at the Braun Intercollegiate on Tuesday, finishing ahead of NCAA DI programs Valparaiso and Eastern Illinois University.

The Warriors posted an 81-over, 657 to close out its fall campaign with the program's final competition of the season. The Warriors, competing as the lone junior college program in the event, posted round scores of 332-325-657.

Indian Hills was led once again by freshman Joska Nelis (Haarlem, Netherlands/Lyceum Sancta Maria), this week's Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Athlete of the Week, tied for fifth-place overall for her fourth top-10 finish of the fall season. Nelis capped the fall season with round scores of 77-76-153 to finish nine over, just six shots off the top score of the two-day event.

Nelis posted just 10 bogeys and zero double-bogeys over the course of 36 holes to go along with one birdie for the Warriors. The freshman posted an even par back nine on the final day of competition.

Freshman Veronica Rodriguez (Santiago, Chile/Liceo A-1310 Buin) tied for 26th overall for the Warriors after posting round scores of 81-79-160 to finish 16-over par. Sofia Saavedra (Barquisimeto, Venezuela/Dawere International) took third overall for the Warriors with a 67th plac finish. Saavedra fired a 27-over 171 to close out a strong fall campaign.

Taylor Pacheco (Chula Vista, CA/Olympian) and Mackenzie Reeves (Rogers, AR/Heritage Rogers) capped the team scoring for the Warriors with a 78th and 79th place finish, respectively. Pacheo posted a 35-over 179 while Reeves shaved off 14 strokes from the first to second round with an 83 to post a 36-over 180 on the week.

Freshman Arianna Ramsey (Lewisville, TX/Lewisville), competing as an induvial, tallied a 44-over, 188 to cap the Warrior performances at Oak Meadow Country Club.

The Warriors will now head into the winter break before returning to competition in the spring.
