WARRIORS FINISH STRONG AT OZARKS NATIONAL INVITE

Hollister, MO – The Indian Hills Women's Golf team wrapped up play at the Ozarks National Invitational with its strongest round of the three-day tournament as the Warriors placed 13th overall at the Ozarks National Golf Course.

After back-to-back rounds of 348, the Warriors shaved off 23 strokes in the third round to finish the event with a 157-over, 1,021. The Warriors proved to be the lone junior college program in the event, competing against the likes of South Dakota State University, University of Texas-El Paso, and Drake University.

Indian Hills was once again led by freshman Joska Nelis (Haarlem, Netherlands/Lyceum Sancta Maria) who tied for 46th overall after firing round scores of 79-82-81-242 to finish at 26-over. Fellow freshman Veronica Rodriguez (Santiago, Chile/Liceo A-1310 Buin) placed 67th overall for the Warriors after posting her best round of the tournament on the final day. Rodriguez posted round scores of 92-85-76-253 to finish 37-over.

Freshman Poppy Norcott (Wiltshire, United Kingdom/Hartpury College) made her spring debut to finish 47-over after improving in each round. Norcott shot an 82 on the final day of competition.

Next up for the Warriors is the Park Spring Classic April 7-8 at The Bluffs Golf Club in Parkville, MO.
