WARRIORS CONTINUE TO CLIMB, RANKED NO. 12 IN LATEST POLL

Ottumwa, IA – The Indian Hills Women's Golf team continued to make strides in its first season of competition as the Warriors climbed to No. 12 in the latest National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Women's Golf Clippd rankings, announced Wednesday afternoon.

The Warriors jumped one spot from last week's No. 13 rating by earning 15.91 average weighted points in this week's edition. The Warriors saw all five of its individuals in the top-100 from last week's poll make significant jumps in the national rankings.

Freshman Joska Nelis (Haarlem, Netherlands/Lyceum Sancta Maria) who produced her fourth top-10 finish of the year on Tuesday, climbed 12 spots to No. 32 in the national rankings. Nelis has captured one individual title while collecting three Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Athlete of the Week honors for the Warriors.

Veronica Rodriguez (Santiago, Chile/Liceo A-1310 Buin) jumped six spots for the Warriors and checked in this week at No. 51 while Poppy Norcott (Wiltshire, United Kingdom/Hartpury College) climbed five spots to No. 64. Taylor Pacheco (Chula Vista, CA/Olympian) moved up from No. 73 to No. 70 in this week's poll while Sofia Saavedra (Barquisimeto, Venezuela/Dawere International) rounded out the top-five for the Warriors at No. 83, an increase of six spots from last week's rating.

Daytona State College (FL) held its spot at the top of the national rankings followed by Odessa College (TX), New Mexico Junior College, Seminole State College (FL), and Eastern Florida State College. Fellow ICCAC member Iowa Western Community College checked in at No. 10 in the team poll.

The Warriors closed out their fall campaign Tuesday afternoon with a 10th place showing at the Braun Intercollegiate. The Warriors, who captured two team titles with an additional top-five finish, will return to action in the spring season as they gear up for a postseason run.
