MOUNT PLEASANT, IA – With a second meet in three days and a step outside of conference action, No. 20-ranked Indian Hills used the opportunity to shuffle their lineup and make some opportunities for other Warriors on the roster Friday night at Iowa Wesleyan.

That didn't change the ultimate result; however, as IHCC steamrolled its way to a fifth dual win in five outings in this, their inaugural season as a wrestling program, with a 33-13 win over the host Tigers.

"We were able to get some new faces into the lineup," said Warrior head coach Cole Spree. "It was exciting to see them take advantage of their first opportunities to compete."

After the Warriors received a forfeit at 125 pounds to open the match, Iowa Wesleyan got a pin and a major decision to grab a 10-6 after three weights.

IHCC would then reel off six-straight victories, including two pins from Neal Larson at 174 and Khris Walton at 197, a technical fall from Ramiro Mosquera at 157, and a major decision from Tate Richard at 149, to seize control of the match.

Just four of the ten matches had the same wrestler as Spree used two nights prior in an upset of No. 13-rated Iowa Lakes, but the depth of the young Warrior program shined through as newcomers, Tyler Landgrebe, Richard, Mosquera and Mouhamadou Sene all scored team points for IHCC.

"With the NJCAA moving up our national tournament date, we've had to become creative in getting opportunities for everyone on the team," Spree explained.

The next chance for the Warriors to get on the mat will be at next Sunday's ICCAC Conference Tournament in Council Bluffs.  It too was bumped up in hope of having a better opportunity to get the event in.  IHCC will return to ICCAC dual meet action on Thursday, March 11 when it again travels to Council Bluffs for a clash between the conference's only two unbeaten squads.

"Tonight was another solid performance, and I'm excited to continue to watch our team grow," Spree concluded.
