WARRIORS, LAKERS SET FOR ICCAC CLASH

Estherville, IA – No. 5 Indian Hills Men's Wrestling returns to Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) action Tuesday night against No. 20 Iowa Lakes Community College. The conference foes are set to square off at 7:00 PM.

MATCH NOTES

Indian Hills, ranked No. 5 in the latest national poll, enters Tuesday night's conference dual with an undefeated 3-0 record. The Lakers, ranked No. 20 in the poll, sit at 0-4 in conference duals.

The Warriors, coming off a sixth-place showing at the National Duals in Miami, OK have rolled through its first three conference opponents, winning by an average of 14.7 points. The Warriors most recently defeated NIACC in conference action on Dec. 1, 30-13.

Iowa Lakes is coming off a loss to NIACC on Jan. 19 as the Trojans defeated the Lakers 34-12.

SERIES HISTORY

First Meeting: In its first-year of competition last season, the Warriors rolled past then-No. 13 Iowa Lakes on Jan. 24. The Warriors jumped out to a 27-0 lead thanks to technical falls from Victor Guzman and Destin Jones and pin from Deron Pulliam sealed the victory.

Last Meeting: In just the second dual matchup all-time between the programs, the Warriors defeated Iowa Lakes at this year's National Duals on Jan. 14. Indian Hills claimed a 34-15 victory behind a fall from Matthew Lewis, a major decision from Destin Jones, and a pin from Jacob Anderson.

WRESTLERS TO WATCH

The Warriors enter Tuesday night with six nationally ranked individuals, including a pair of top-ranked wrestlers. Caleb Meekins is the top-ranked athlete at the 133lb weight class and Deron Pulliam checks in at No. 1 in the 184lb weight class. Meekins, the Indian Hills December Male Athlete of the Month, has won all three conference dual matches by pinfall. The Warriors received strong showings at the National Duals from Matthew Lewis and Destin Jones who contributed to the Warriors' solid effort at the premiere junior college regular season event.

Iowa Lakes is headlined by Massoma Endene, the ninth-ranked wrestler in the 197lb weight class and Jacob Rahn, the eighth-ranked wrestler in the heavyweight division. Rahn earned one of the team's three victories against NIACC on Jan. 19.
