Centerville, IA – In the first national rankings of the year, Indian Hills Men's Wrestling checks in at No. 13 in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Men's Wrestling Poll, announced on Monday afternoon.
The Warriors earned 20 points in the initial ranking and are in a three-way tie for 13th place with Camden County Community College (NJ) and Southwestern Oregon Community College. Indian Hills is off to a 1-0 start on the year after dropping North Iowa Area Community College 31-14 on November 8 in an Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) dual.
Indian Hills is coming off an 8th place finish at last year's NJCAA National Championship and finished the year ranked No. 5 in the final NJCAA National Poll.
Two sophomore individuals on the Warrior squad earned national rankings as well. Matthew Lewis (Centerville, IA/Centerville) checked in at No. 3 in the 141lb class while Kawaun Deboe (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) is No. 3 in the heavyweight class.

The Warriors are one of four programs from the ICCAC ranked in the top-20. Iowa Western Community College is ranked No. 3 followed by Ellsworth Community College who is tied for 5th. Iowa Central is ranked No. 19 in the first poll of the season.
Clackamas Community College (OR) is ranked No. 1 followed by Triton College (IL) to round out the top three.
Indian Hills returns to action Tuesday night in Centerville at the Multi-Purpose Building vs. Iowa Lakes Community College. The first bout of the night is set for 7:00 PM.
