Centerville, IA – Two members of the Indian Hills Men's Wrestling team are ranked in the first individual national rankings, announced by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Men's Wrestling Committee on Monday afternoon.

Sophomore Matthew Lewis (Centerville, IA/Centerville) is ranked No. 3 in the inaugural 141lb class while returning All-American Kawaun Deboe (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) is ranked No. 3 in the first heavyweight rankings of the year. As a team, the Warriors are ranked No. 13 in the nation in the first team poll of the year.

Deboe is back for his second season at Indian Hills after earning a seventh-place finish and All-American honors as a freshman at last year's national championship. Last season, Deboe posted an 8-6 record, including a pair of pins before placing third overall at the NJCAA North Central District Championship to earn an automatic bid to nationals.

Lewis earned a spot at last year's NJCAA National Championship as well in the 149lb weight class. As a freshman, Lewis placed fourth overall at the NJCAA North Central District Championship and won a pair of matches at the national tournament. Lewis finished the year with 17 victories and tied for a team-high with 15 pins on the year.

Lewis has jumped out to a 1-0 start on the year after securing a major decision with a 9-0 victory over North Iowa Area Community College on November 8.

Indian Hills returns to action Tuesday night in Centerville at the Multi-Purpose Building vs. Iowa Lakes Community College. The first bout of the night is set for 7:00 PM.
