Centerville, IA – No. 13 nationally ranked Indian Hills Men's Wrestling will host its second Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) dual of the year on Tuesday night at the Multi-Purpose Building. Action vs. Iowa Lakes Community College gets underway at 7:00 PM.

The Warriors (1-0, 1-0) are set to host its second conference dual of the year as the Iowa Lakes Lakers (0-1, 0-1) head to Centerville.

PROMOTIONS: Fans are encouraged to wear black to Tuesday's meet. Sherre Lang's Tumbling will also provide a performance during the dual.

MAT NOTES

• The Warriors enter the dual ranked No. 13 in the first National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) ranking of the year.
• Tuesday's dual will be the second of three home meets for the Warriors. Indian Hills' final dual of the year is not until January 25 vs. Iowa Central Community College.
• Iowa Lakes dropped its season-opening dual to Iowa Western 38-6 as Jacob Rahn earned the team's only win, a fall in the heayvweight division.
• Indian Hills, Iowa Western, and Iowa Central all secured opening-week wins in the ICCAC duals while Iowa Lakes, Ellsworth, and NIACC each dropped their season opener.
• Indian Hills, Iowa Western, Ellsworth, and Iowa Central are all ranked in the first NJCAA National Poll of the regular season.

WARRIORS TO WATCH

• Sophomore Matthew Lewis (Centerville, IA/Centerville) is ranked No. 3 in the first NJCAA 141lb weight class. Lewis picked up a win in the team's first dual last week vs. North Iowa Area Community College with a 9-0 major.
• Sophomore Kawaun Deboe (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) is ranked No. 3 in the first heavyweight rankings of the year.
• Freshman Riley Bettich (Stevensville, MI/Crown Point) is off to a solid start to his collegiate career. Bettich scored a pin vs. NIACC in just 1:02 and took the defending 125lb national champion to overtime at the Luther Hill Invitational on November 5.
• Joshua Gaye (Des Moines, IA/Mooseheart Prep) opened up his collegiate career last week with a thrilling decision over NIACC.

SERIES HISTORY

In the first two years of existence for the Warrior program, Indian Hills has captured all three matches against the Lakers. In its first-ever dual on February 24, 2021, the Warriors took a 39-12 victory over the Lakers in ICCAC action.

The Warriors scored two victories over the Lakers last season. The first win came at the NJCAA National Duals in Miami, OK with a 34-15 win on January 14. Just over a week later, with the Lakers ranked No. 20 in the national poll, the Warriors rolled past Iowa Lakes 46-12 in Estherville, IA.
