WARRIORS CLIMB TO NO. 9 IN NATIONAL RANKINGS

NJCAA MEN'S WRESTLING POLL - TEAM

Centerville, IA – With a 3-0 conference dual record in tow, Indian Hills Men's Wrestling climbed four spots to crack the top-10 in the latest National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Men's Wrestling Poll. The Warriors are ranked No. 9 in this week's national ranking.

The Warriors have gotten off to a strong start in 2022 with three Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) dual victories to begin the year. Indian Hills has won each of its duals by double-digits with each opponent appearing in the latest national rankings.

Indian Hills has also produced strong showings at a series of open tournaments, including the team's latest performance at the Doane Open in Crete, NE where six individuals placed for the Warriors. Freshman Treyshawn White (Portage, IN/Portage) led the charge with a first-place finish in the heavyweight bracket.

The Warriors are the second-highest ranked team from the ICCAC behind No. 3 Iowa Western Community College. The ICCAC sports six teams in the national rankings as Ellsworth Community College checks in at No. 11 followed by No. 21 Iowa Lakes Community College, No. 23 Iowa Central Community College, and No. 24 North Iowa Area Community College. 

Indian Hills has now been ranked in eight consecutive national rankings dating back to February, 2021.

Along with the team's No. 9 national rank, four individuals are ranked in the top-10 in their respective weight class.

Indian Hills returns to action on Saturday, December 10 at the 31st Annual Art Kraft Memorial Tournament in River Grove, IL, hosted by Triton College (IL).
