The Indian Hills Men's Wrestling squad heads to the 2023 NJCAA National Championship with 10 qualified individuals in tow.
MAT NOTES
- Indian Hills heads to nationals as the No. 12 ranked team in the nation, the third-highest ranked team from the ultra-competitive ICCAC.
- The Warriors have produced back-to-back eighth-place finishes at the NJCAA National Championship as 2023 marks the third year of existence for the Indian Hills program.
- Indian Hills qualified all 10 individuals that competed at the NJCAA North Central District Championship, including heavyweight champion Kawaun Deboe.
- This year's event will be the first of its kind as both the NJCAA men's and women's national wrestling tournaments will coincide with each other under the same roof on the same week. The Indian Hills women enter the tournament as the No. 1 ranked team in the nation.
HISTORY AT NATIONALS
In its first two seasons of existence, the Indian Hills Men's Wrestling squad has produced 10 NJCAA All-Americans, five in each of the last two seasons. Warrior alum Deron Pulliam produced the best individual performance for the Warriors at nationals in 2022 with a second-place showing.
The Warriors have placed eighth overall in both seasons at the national championships.

"This group of guys have become super close with each other," stated head coach Cole Spree. "Together, they have brought the expectation of being an Indian Hills Warrior wrestler to another level. I'm excited to watch them go to battle this weekend and accomplish their goals as a unit."
