WARRIORS RANKED NO. 3, SEVEN INDIVIDUALS CRACK TOP-10

Centerville, IA – The Indian Hills Men's Wrestling team checked in at No. 3 in the first National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Men's Wrestling poll, announced Tuesday afternoon. The Warriors also saw seven individuals in the national rankings in their respective weight class.

The Warriors are off to a stifling start in 2024-25 with a 7-0 record in dual matches, including a 3-0 mark in Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) action. Indian Hills has knocked off three top-10 ranked teams on the year, taking on programs from five different states.

In the team's seven duals on the year, the Warriors have outscored their opponents 259-55 while holding four opponents to single-digit team points.

Sophomore All-American Riley Bettich (Stevensville, MI/Crown Point) maintained his spot at the top of the 133lb weight class for the Warriors. Bettich is off to an 8-2 start on the year, including a 6-0 mark in duals.

Sophomore Arieh Hart (Anna, IL/Anna-Jonesboro) climbed two spots to No. 2 in the nation in the 141lb weight class. Hart has jumped out to a 12-1 start on the year.

Freshman Andrew Marquez (Rock Island, IL/Rock Island), unranked in the preseason NJCAA poll, soared to No. 2 in the nation at 197lbs. Marquez has recorded 14 wins to open the year, including wins over the No. 3 and No. 9 ranked wrestlers in the nation.

Returning All-American Jaquan East (Kokomo, IN/Kokomo) has gotten off to a solid start in 2024 as the sophomore climbed to No. 3 in the nation at 174lbs. East has secured 13 wins on the year and is currently 6-0 in dual action.

Sophomore Brice Coleman (Indianapolis, IN/Indiana Tech) jumped into the national rankings in the 157lb weight class. Coleman has picked up nine victories on the year, including a 7-0 mark in dual action with a top-10 victory to his name.

Freshman Cinsere Clark (Des Moines, IA/Des Moines, IA/Valley) made his debut in the national rankings, checking in at No. 8 at 165lbs. Clark is tied for the team lead with 14 victories this year with four coming in dual action.

Sophomore Elisha Faison (Wilton, IA/Wilton, IA/Wilton) rounded out the individual rankings for the Warriors at No. 10 in the 184lb weight class.

The Warriors, who garnered 60 points from the voting committee, sit behind No. 1 ranked Western Wyoming Community College, the defending national champions, and No. 2 Clackamas Community College (OR).
