NO. 19 WARRIORS DROP LEAGUE MATCH TO NO. 2 REIVERS

Ottumwa, IA – The No. 19 ranked Indian Hills Women's Soccer team suffered a 3-0 loss at home to No. 2 Iowa Western Community College on Wednesday afternoon. The Warriors fall to 10-4-0 overall on the year and 0-2-0 in Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) action.

The Warriors fell behind in the first half as the Reivers struck in the 10th and 18th minutes to stake a 2-0 advantage. Iowa Western added a goal in the 55th minute of the second half to pull away from the Warriors and secure the league win.

Sophomore María Melendez  (Aragua, Venezuela/Aragua Estudiantil) stopped five shots for the Warriors. As a team, Indian Hills posted eight shots on the day while the Reivers tallied 12 shots, including eight on net.

Indian Hills returns to action October 12 in Council Bluffs, IA with a neutral site contest against Western Wyoming Community College at 1:00 PM.
