Centerville, IA – The No. 1 nationally ranked Indian Hills Women's Wrestling team rolled to a 42-10 win over Trinidad State College (CO) at the Multi-Purpose Building on the Indian Hills Centerville Campus Sunday afternoon.

The Warriors remained undefeated in dual action on the year, improving to 5-0 overall, including a 2-0 mark in non-league action. Indian Hills secured five dual victories on the day, including a pair of pins to top the first-year program from Colorado.

Defending national champion Dutchess King (Lansing, IL/Thornton Fractional South) opened up the afternoon with a first period tech fall at 101lbs, scoring four three-point takedowns for a 12-0 victory.

Following a forfeit at 109 for the Warriors, No. 3 nationally ranked Madison Leverknight (Kansas City, MO/Winnetonka) earned a 10-0 tech fall at 116lbs thanks to a trio of leg laces in the opening round. No. 2 nationally ranked Angelica Vicente Gonzalez (Cidra, Puerto Rico/Eugenio Guerra Cruz) secured the Warriors' first fall of the day with a pin in 2:15 at 123lbs to put Indian Hills ahead 13-5.

The Warriors earned four consecutive forfeit wins before Chontel Griffin (Corona, CA/Centennial) earned her first dual victory of the year at 170lbs. Griffin picked up a 10-0 tech fall to extend Indian Hills' lead to 37-5.

No. 4 nationally ranked Karla Padilla Zepeda (South Weber, UT/North Ridge) closed out the dual for the Warriors with a fall in 1:27 at 235lbs. The sophomore has now recorded three pins in four dual matches on the year.

Indian Hills closes out the first half of its season at the Avila Duals in Kansas City, MO on December 15.
