MEN'S NOTES

Coming off a historic season that saw the Warriors boast their highest finish at the national championships in program history, the Warriors return a loaded sophomore class to compliment a talented freshman core.

  • The Warriors feature 15 sophomores on this year's roster that all saw a considerable amount of competition during the 2023-24 campaign.
  • Indian Hills returns five sophomores with national championship experience in Riley Bettich, Jaquan East, Yaveion Freeman, Isaac Gibbs, and Arieh Hart.
  • Tuesday's match will be the first of four non-conference NJCAA duals on the year as head coach Cole Spree continues to bolster the squad's competitive schedule year-in-and-year-out.
  • In the first all-time meeting with the Trojans last year, Indian Hills scored a 34-15 victory. Returners Arieh Hart and Jesse Hinkle each scored victories in the dual.
  • The 2024-25 season will mark the Warriors' first under the sole direction of Spree who previously guided the men's and women's squads for the past four seasons.
  • The preseason NJCAA Men's Wrestling poll has not been released yet.

SPREE'S NOTES

"We have been practicing a lot and the guys are excited to finally compete. Add in that the first competition is a home dual, it adds even more excitement to the night.

Very thankful to Trinidad State for making the trip. Always fun to see other non-conference Junior College teams throughout the season."
