The nationally ranked Warriors return to their home mat to take on the Redtails of Hawkeye Community College, a program in its first-year of collegiate competition.


WARRIOR WOMEN'S NOTES

The Indian Hills women return to action for the first time since November 20 and the team's first home dual since the season opener on October 29.

  • The Warriors dropped to No. 2 in the latest The Open Mat rankings after falling to then-No. 7 Iowa Western in a narrow 26-25 ICCAC tilt.
  • Indian Hills currently boasts 19 individuals in The Open Mat national rankings in their respective weight classes, including four individuals ranked No. 1:
  • Indian Hills is 12-1 all-time in ICCAC duals.

SCOUTING THE REDTAILS

Hawkeye is making its collegiate debut this season as the Redtails joined the ICCAC for its inaugural season, expanding the league to seven programs.

  • The Redtails enter the dual with an 0-1 confernece record after falling to Iowa Central Community College 35-18 on November 20.
  • Hawkeye is ranked No. 10 in the latest Team Dual rankings via The Open Mat with five individually ranked wrestlers.
  • Hawkeye boasts five individuals in the national rankings in the latest The Open Mat polls.
  • The Redtails are led by first-year head coach Dan Lovell who brings junior college coaching experience to the program with previous stops at Itsasca Community College.

WARRIOR MEN'S NOTES

The Warriors head into Wednesday night's matchup with an unblemished 5-0 mark in duals this year.

  • Indian Hills has currently won nine consecutive duals dating back to the 2023-24 season, a school record. 
  • The Warriors have outscored each of their five opponents this year by double-digits and have not allowed more than 14 team points in a dual this season.
  • The Warriors have eight individuals in the latest The Open Mat national rankings.
    • Sophomore Jaquan East has soared to No. 2 in the latest 174lb ratings
    • Andrew Marquez continues to climb at 197lbs, checking in at No. 3 in the latest poll.
  • The Warriors are 21-5 all-time in ICCAC duals.

SCOUTING THE REDTAILS

The Hawkeye men are making their collegiate debut during the 2024-25 season to give the ICCAC seven men's wrestling programs.

  • The Redtails are 0-1 in ICCAC duals this year, dropping a 44-10 match to Iowa Central on November 20.
  • Hawkeye claims two individuals in The Open Mat national rankings - No. 8 Joshua Vis at 285lbs and No. 11 Austin Pfantz at 174lbs.
  • Indian Hills and Hawkeye met for a pair of matches at this year's Luther Hill Invitational at 149lbs and 165lbs with the Warriors taking both bouts.
  • The Redtails are led by first-year head coach Dan Lovell who brings junior college coaching experience to the program with previous stops at Itsasca Community College.

The Indian Hills Men return to action Friday night with a premiere non-conference dual at No. 8 nationally ranked Rochester Community & Technical College in Rochester, MN at 6:00 PM. The Indian Hills women head to the Doane Conner/Oppenheim Open in Crete, NE on December 7.
