Indian Hills is set to take part in the first-ever NJCAA Region 11 Women's Wrestling Championship as seven teams make the trek to Council Bluffs.

  • The Warriors enter postseason competition after a runner-up finish in the regular season ICCAC standings.
  • Indian Hills led the ICCAC this year in both points for (254) and points against (56).
  • The NJCAA Region 11 Championship does not serve as a national qualifier as the 2025 women's wrestling national tournament is invitation-based.

SCOUTING THE FIELD

This first edition of the NJCAA Region 11 Championship serves as another year of growth from women's wrestling in both the state of Iowa and on the national scale.

  • Iowa Western, ranked No. 6 in the NJCAA poll and No. 3 in the The Open Mat Team Dual poll, claimed the regular season title with a 6-0 dual record on the year, outscoring its opponents 227-79.
  • 2024-25 marked the third year of regular season competition within the ICCAC.
  • Iowa Central enters the postseason ranked No. 7 in the NJCAA poll and No. 2 in The Open Mat Team Dual poll after going 4-2 in ICCAC action this year.
  • Hawkeye, which went 2-4 this season in dual action, is in its first year of competition.
  • Five of the top-10 nationally ranked pound-for-pound wrestlers hail from the ICCAC.
  • In total, 42 individuals from the ICCAC are ranked in the most recent NJCAA poll.
